Litchfield, NH – December 7: Litchfield Fire Rescue was asked to offer mutual aid in Londonderry for an injured hiker in the Musquash Conservation Area on Sunday at 2:40 p.m. The Special Operations Trailer and OHRV-1, which has a rescue litter on a med-lite skid unit intended for off-road medical transport, were utilized by Utility 1 in response. The patient, who suffered a leg injury, was reached by crews who accessed the trail network via the powerlines off Wiley Hill Road. A Londonderry paramedic escorted the hiker out of the woods and into a waiting ambulance for additional medical attention. Before leaving the area, Litchfield employees returned to retrieve equipment.
