In just forty-five minutes, Litchfield Fire Rescue responded to four calls in the morning of December 3rd. Three medical calls and one fire alarm activation were handled by the three-person duty crew, which was assisted by the chief and an extra firefighter on call. Mutual aid was needed because several situations were occurring simultaneously. In order to provide patient treatment and coverage throughout the town, two Hudson ambulances, a Londonderry ambulance, and a paramedic fly car helped on the site.
