Veterans Day Tribute from South Hampton Fire-Rescue

South Hampton, NH – November 11 – The South Hampton Fire-Rescue Department, located at 128 Main Avenue, observed Veterans Day alongside towns across. In 1919, the day was first observed as Armistice Day to commemorate the conclusion of World War I. To honour everyone who served in the U.S. Armed Forces, it was renamed Veterans Day in 1954. Firefighters and rescue personnel frequently use the same commitment and self-control they acquired in the military to their emergency response responsibilities. The department expressed gratitude to all veterans today, especially to two of its own who served before joining the fire-rescue unit. Every day, their dedication and service contribute to the community's protection.
