Windham, NH – November 24 — The Windham Fire Department and Emergency Management, located at 3 Fellows Road, participated in Windham Helping Hands' yearly Thanksgiving food drive. Food donations from nearby schools and daycare facilities were gathered by Windham Police and firefighters. After the food was gathered, volunteers built holiday food baskets for underprivileged families at Searles Chapel. First responders ensured that every donated gift reached families prior to the holiday by collaborating with Helping Hands. This neighbourhood project demonstrates how volunteers, firefighters, and police can work together to assist neighbours over the holidays.
