Holbrook FD Combats Private Dwelling Fire

In the afternoon hours of Tuesday December 2nd 2025 the Holbrook Fire Department was dispatched to a residence on Skylark Drive for a reported house fire. Holbrook Engine 3-15-5 arrived first due and encountered a two story private dwelling with fire showing on the 2 side and transmitted a working fire. Holbrook Engine 3-15-5 stretched lines and started an aggressive interior attack. Holbrook Truck 3-15-27 and Holtsville Truck 5-11-7 arrived and started doing truck company operations. Upon the knockdown of the main body of fire crews started overhaul operations and the incident was placed under control. Mutual aid was provided by Sayville Fire Department, Holtsville Fire Department, North Patchogue Fire Department. Units operated under the command of 3-15-30. The fire is currently under investigation by the Town of Islip Fire Marshals Office and Suffolk County Police Department Arson Squad.
