December 5, 2025 — Members of the Pattenburg Volunteer Fire Company continued their commitment to readiness and community service today as Tender 25 assisted with refilling an in-ground swimming pool that had been utilized as a water source during a recent structure fire in Bethlehem Township. The pool had been drafted to support extended fire suppression operations when water supply demands were high.
Firefighters Jay and Tyler Narbonne, Mazewski, Kimmick, along with Farino and Boetch—both currently candidates in Firefighter I (FF1) training—worked together to complete the task. Upon returning to the station, the tender received a full wash-down, reinforcing the department’s focus on keeping apparatus clean, inspected, and ready for the next emergency.
Department leaders emphasized that operations like these highlight both teamwork and pride of ownership in the equipment that protects the community. The company also invited residents interested in joining the fire service to stop by any Monday between 6:30 and 8 p.m. to meet the members and learn how to become an active part of the team and make a difference locally.
