Mays Landing, NJ -Laureldale Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire and arrived to find smoke showing from a second-floor window.
Engine 18-33 advanced a handline to the upper floor, where crews quickly located and extinguished a fire in a bedroom.
Firefighters conducted overhaul to check for hidden fire, confirming no extension beyond the room of origin.
Mays Landing Fire Department provided a water supply, while Ladder 18-15 placed ground ladders for secondary egress and assisted with ventilation. Crews also utilized a thermal imaging camera to ensure complete extinguishment.
Additional units stood by to maintain coverage as crews brought the incident under control.
