Multiple Tanker Task Forces Deployed to Fully Involved House Fire on Charlestown Road
November 30, 2025 — At 1:46 p.m. Sunday afternoon, the Hampton Fire Company Station #13 was dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 400 block of Charlestown Road. Upon arrival, crews confirmed a fully involved structure fire, prompting an immediate large-scale mutual aid response.
Due to the volume of water required, the North Tanker Task Force was requested with a fill site established in Hampton, followed by the dispatch of the West Tanker Task Force with a secondary fill site near Exit 12 of Interstate 78. Fire companies from across the region responded to assist with fire suppression and sustained water supply operations.
After many hours of continuous operations, the fire was successfully brought under control and fully extinguished. While the incident tragically resulted in the loss of some of the family’s pets, no civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.
Agencies supporting the extended operation included the Glen Gardner Fire Company No. 1, Pattenburg Volunteer Fire Company Station 25, High Bridge Fire Department, Quakertown Fire Company 91, South Branch Emergency Services, Inc., Clinton Fire Department, Annandale Hose Company, Bethlehem Township Office of Emergency Management, Franklin Township Fire & EMS, Kingwood Township Volunteer Fire Company No. 1, Fairmount Fire Company No. 1, Holland Township Volunteer Fire Company, Inc., Oldwick Fire Company, Milford Fire Company Station 92, Lebanon Township Fire Department, Stewartsville Volunteer Fire Company, Washington Township Fire Department, Whitehouse Fire Company, along with the New Jersey State Police and the New Jersey Division of Fire Safety.
Additional coordination and support were provided by the Hunterdon County Department of Public Safety OEM, Hunterdon County Fire Coordinators, Warren County Fire Coordinators, and county dispatchers.
The department also extended special thanks to Rosata’s Pizza and Pasta and Charlie Matarazzo for their support of emergency crews during the extended incident.
Fire officials praised the unified multi-county response, noting that teamwork and coordinated water supply operations were critical in bringing the major fire under control.
