November 27, 2025 — On Thanksgiving Day 2025, local firefighters were already on the move after being summoned to two separate calls for service early in the holiday.
The first incident involved a cooking mishap caused by burnt butter, a reminder of how quickly kitchen accidents can occur during busy holiday meal preparations. The second call was for an unauthorized open burn with no permits, which crews quickly addressed to prevent further hazard.
On the initial call, Quakertown Fire Company 91 responded as mutual aid but was canceled prior to arrival once the situation was handled.
Fire officials noted they were hopeful those would be the only incidents of the day, but reaffirmed their constant readiness to respond—24 hours a day, 365 days a year—proudly standing by to serve the community throughout the holiday.
