November 12, 2025 — In its November Resident Spotlight, the Frenchtown Rural Fire District is proud to recognize Connor Edwards, a dedicated member of the district’s residency program since August 2024.
Originally from California, Edwards relocated to Montana in June 2024 and soon applied to the Frenchtown residency program. From his very first ride-along with the Frenchtown Fire Department, he said he felt immediately welcomed by a team of hardworking and knowledgeable firefighters.
“The culture and dedication I witnessed made it clear that this was the place that I wanted to be,” Edwards shared. “I’ve always admired the responsibility and moral standard firefighters hold, and that’s what motivated me to pursue this career.”
One of his most memorable experiences as a resident came during a recent trip to Indianapolis, where he attended a three-day Fire Department Training Network Program. Edwards described the experience as an incredible opportunity to learn from experienced instructors, sharpen his skills, and perform at a higher level. He also emphasized the value of returning to Frenchtown with new knowledge and techniques to share with his fellow firefighters.
Frenchtown officials said they are excited to have Edwards as part of the residency program and as a committed volunteer, praising his passion for the fire service and his dedication to continuous growth and teamwork.
