November 18, 2025 — Fire Inspector Nathanael Tinaya and Assistant Fire Marshal Herlocker from the Haines City Fire Department attended Career Day at Haines City High School, where they spoke with students about career paths and opportunities in the fire service.

The pair shared insight into daily operations, training requirements, and the rewards and challenges of public safety work. Officials said the goal of the visit was to spark interest, answer questions, and encourage students who may be considering a future in emergency services.

Department leaders expressed hope that the conversations held during Career Day will inspire the next generation of firefighters and first responders to serve their community.
