November 19, 2025 — The Haines City Fire Department received a thoughtful visit on Monday from Whitney Sims, Site Director of WonderHere Davenport, who stopped by the station to personally deliver heartfelt “Bags of Thanks” created by WonderHere students.
The handcrafted bags were filled with messages of appreciation for local firefighters, offering a meaningful reminder of the strong bond between first responders and the community’s youth. Fire crews expressed sincere gratitude to Ms. Sims and the students for taking the time to recognize their service.
Department members said the unexpected gesture meant a great deal to the team and served as a powerful example of how small acts of kindness can make a lasting impact.
