Derry, NH — December 5 — Following numerous 911 reports of a structure fire, the Derry Fire Department, located at 14 Manning Street, sent out Car 1, Engine 2, Engine 1, Ladder 4, Ladder 3, Medic 1, and the Fire Marshal. After an off-duty firefighter reported the incident, it was raised to a first alarm, with station coverage from Nashua, Pelham, Manchester, and Hudson and mutual aid from Salem, Windham, Chester, Hampstead, Auburn, and Sandown.

Engine 2 arrived to see a one-story garage/workshop with fire visible from every angle. Using saws and hand tools, crews established a 2-inch line, gained access and swiftly put out the fire.
