Engine 128 stretched two lines and began fire attack while Tanker 128 nursed them. Truck 128 backed into the driveway and set up for defensive operations as fire consumed the home. Car 128 had command and told Engine 328 to establish the water supply on Windham Avenue. Fire was impinging on two 100 gallon propane tanks, so a crew cooled and secured them.
Ambulance 628 provided standby coverage while crews worked outside in the 15 degree weather. Oakdale covered Colchester Headquarters while Portland covered Westchester. The Colchester Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.
