The Avon Fire Department announced that Firefighter Kyle Gray has graduated from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy’s Career Recruit Training Program, Class #334. The 10-week program prepares new firefighters for frontline operations through instruction in fire attack, search and rescue, hazardous materials response, and essential emergency procedures. Gray will now serve the community with the knowledge and skills gained from the Academy’s hands-on drills and safety-focused training.

Department officials said the addition of fully trained personnel helps maintain strong response capabilities and supports mutual-aid operations with neighboring towns. Gray’s completion of the state program marks a key milestone in his professional development as he joins his crew in protecting residents and property in Avon.
