Avon Fire Department welcomed Firefighter Peter Harrison as its newest full-time member following his swearing-in by Town Clerk Patricia Bessette during Thursday’s Select Board meeting. Harrison previously served as a call firefighter in West Bridgewater and brings more than a decade of experience working in education and coaching high school athletics. He is currently attending paramedic school and will continue his professional development at the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy.
