Hooksett, NH — November 11 — The Hooksett Fire Rescue Department observed Veterans Day with the community, honouring those who have served in the US military. Firefighter Eric Allard, Firefighter Derek Waldron, Firefighter Nick Curro, and Lieutenant/Paramedic Christopher McMurray were among the department's veteran members who remained to serve. Leaders pointed out that military experience contributes important abilities to the fire and emergency medical services fields, such as leadership, teamwork, and the capacity to stay focused under pressure. Long after their military service is over, veterans working in emergency services continue to assist their neighbors, bolstering daily public safety initiatives. The department expressed gratitude to all veterans for their dedication to defending the country and recognized their continued support of local communities.
