Littleton, NH - On Monday, February 16 at approximately 4:40 a.m., Grafton County Dispatch transmitted a second alarm for the Days Inn in Lincoln, New Hampshire. Littleton Fire Department Engine 1, staffed by D Shift, responded to the call along with Car 1.
Upon arrival, firefighters located a fire in a crawl space basement that had extended into two hotel rooms above. Due to limited access to the crawl space, crews cut an access hole in the hallway floor to reach the seat of the fire and bring it under control.
As firefighting operations continued, the incident was upgraded to a third alarm.
Littleton firefighters assisted with interior fire suppression efforts and supported incident management during the extended operation.
While units were committed in Lincoln, another fire call was dispatched within the district at Hilltop Manor. Littleton Fire Department Engine 2 and Ambulance 3 responded to that incident to ensure continued coverage in the community.
Engine 1 returned to quarters at approximately 7:45 a.m. after assisting with the multi-alarm response.
