Andover, NH — November 20 — After winning a raffle at the most recent Touch-A-Truck event, three Andover children had an unusual start to the school day. Members of the Andover Police and EMS Departments escorted Carter, Nicholas, and Noelle to school. Families can learn about emergency procedures, get up close and personal with equipment, and interact with first responders who contribute to the town's safety at this yearly community event.

One method the department promotes constructive relationships with local youngsters is through the ride-to-school reward. Responders used the time to discuss safety and respond to enquiries regarding their jobs. Excited and appreciative of the experience, the youngsters showed up to school. Additionally, NH Emergency Services intends to keep providing initiatives that boost community involvement and foster trust.
