CHESTER, NY - At 7:31 P.M. on November 3rd, the Chester Fire Department was dispatched to a reported kitchen fire at 9 Railroad Avenue. Upon arrival, Car 1 found an active fire in the second-floor apartment kitchen, and a second-alarm was transmitted. The fire was knocked down in 10 minutes and contained to the apartment. Chester was assisted on scene by Goshen, Warwick and Washingtonville Fire Departments.
