Motorcyclist Freed from Car After Crash in Clinton

On November 9th, a car and a motorcycle collided near the town transfer station entrance, prompting the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department to attend to the scene. Firefighters arrived to find the motorcycle operator pinned below the front of the truck.
Crews used the TL9 lifting gear and the Jaws of Life to elevate the vehicle and rescue the patient, who was transferred to the hospital for assessment. According to fire officials, a safe rescue was made possible by the prompt and well-coordinated measures.
The department recognized the connection to the TL9 tool used in the incident, as its creator — from T & J Rescue Enterprises, LLC — is a former member of the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department. Members noted this response illustrated how training and specialized equipment continue to improve emergency operations in the community.
