Traffic Closed as Responders Work Route 202 Crash

Following a car accident involving three vehicles, the Bantam Road portion of Route 202 in Litchfield between High Bridge Road and North Shore Road was blocked to through traffic on the evening of January 9. Car 3, Engine 36, Rescue 38, and Ambulance 37 were among the Bantam Fire Company units that responded. The Litchfield Ambulance Association, Inc. Car 9 and the Litchfield Fire Department's Engine 2 and Rescue 5 helped them. While the road was stopped, fire and emergency medical personnel secured the area, helped with patient care, and attempted to reduce risks. Responders were able to safely handle the situation and remove the area thanks to the closure. After efforts were finished and the area was judged safe, traffic was allowed to resume.
