Nov. 26 — Southwest Harbor Fire Department: Captain Chapin McFarland is being recognized by the Southwest Harbor Fire Department for finishing the Fire Officer III training. The program's main goal is to get corporate officers ready for more leadership roles in areas including communication, people management, incident preparation, safety, and training supervision.

Captain McFarland's dedication to professional growth and community involvement is demonstrated by his completion of months' worth of coursework and job performance criteria. The department also sends congratulations to the other firefighters who received the same qualification.
