MONT VERNON, N.H. — November 19 — Crews from the Mont Vernon Fire Department arrived on Beech Hill Road on Wednesday in response to a carbon monoxide alert. Units came to assess the house utilising gas detecting equipment to verify that CO was present. While looking for the source of the alarm, firefighters evacuated the building and made sure everyone was safe. There were no reported injuries, and the issue was cleared after the tests were finished.

Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless gas, making alarm systems a crucial safety safeguard in houses. Residents are urged by fire officials to service their heating systems and test their alarms on a regular basis, particularly in the winter when fuel-burning appliances are used more frequently. Mont Vernon Fire encourages the residents to contact for assistance anytime a CO alarm rings.
