The Waltham Fire Department received numerous calls Saturday November 29th for report of a building fire on Craven Circle - crews arrived at 4:00 pm to find heavy fire in the rear of the building extending from the first floor up the second floor and to the roof. Deputy Chief Rowland immediately ordered a second alarm. WFD worked quickly to knock down the large volume of wind-driven fire and kept the flames contained to the one original building. The first arriving companies were C2, Engine 2, Rescue 1, Ladder 3, Engine 3 and Engine 1 as the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT). Ladder 2, Engine 4 and Squad 5 came as the second alarm while Engine 7 and Tower 1 were also requested to the scene. Command staff that responded included C1, C3 and H1. Armstrong medics also responded the fire on the initial response. The Wires Department was notified and the Waltham Building Department responded. Companies cleared the scene at 11:19 pm.

The State Fire Marshal's Office teamed up with the Waltham Police and Waltham Fire Departments to investigate the fire.
