Manchester, NH — November 18 — Students at Mount Saint Mary’s Academy cooked and gave fresh bread to the City of Manchester, NH Fire Department. On Wednesday, Rescue 1 visited the school to pick up the loaves, which are being distributed among the department’s 10 fire stations. The project gave children a chance to show appreciation for first responders while learning about the importance of community service.
Fire departments rely on strong community relationships, and actions like this help promote firefighter morale and connection with residents they serve. Manchester workers hailed the pupils and school personnel for the considerate contribution. In order to foster a constructive collaboration focused on public safety and common community values, the department continues to collaborate closely with neighbourhood organizations.
