Canton Fire Brings Santa to Annual Tree Lighting

Canton, CT — The Town of Canton Fire Department helped start the Christmas season by providing Santa Claus with his yearly trip atop Rescue 5 to the Shops at Farmington Valley Tree Lighting Ceremony. For many years, firefighters have assisted with the celebration, making sure Santa arrives safely to welcome families and kids.
In addition to encouraging locals to keep an eye out for a new seasonal event, the fire department will shortly be offering, department officials said they look forward to continuing Christmas events in the neighborhood.
