LeRoy Fire Department helped kick off Halloween with a community parade through the village. Despite damp weather, families, children, and costumed characters filled the sidewalks and streets as fire apparatus provided lighting and traffic control along the route.

Firefighters said events like the Halloween parade are an important way to connect with residents outside of emergencies, giving kids a chance to see fire crews up close in a fun, relaxed setting. The department thanked everyone who came out and looks forward to supporting the tradition in future years.
