Tamarac’s ALS Competition team wins first place in the 2022 North American Vehicle Rescue Association (NAVRA) ALS Medical Challenge. This annual, hands-on, educational competition event gives an opportunity for the competing teams of first responders from across the U.S.A., Canada and Europe to further improve their skills to better serve their communities. This event took place in Miami, with competition teams from 14 different cities and counties, participating in real-life, team-based scenario training, designed to promote good team dynamics, improve communication, and increase rescue scene proficiency. This competition consisted of triaging multiple patients and being scored on a Primary Survey, SAMPLE History, OPQRST, Head to Toe Examination and Interventions.

Their continued training and dedication have proven to be successful as earlier this year, this team won first place at the Bill Shearer ClinCon International Competition.

Congratulations to Captain Boyhan, Lieutenant Mais, FF/PM Avril and FF/PM Curbelo!
