NEWBURGH, NY - NEWBURGH, NY – Winona Lake and Orange Lake Fire Departments responded to a structure fire at the Mobil Gas Station located at 1423 State Route 300 on November 29th. Firefighters arrived to find an active fire at the rear of the building. Crews used hand lines to extinguish the fire and hand tools to check for extension. Ground ladders were placed, and the roof area was checked for fire extension. Town of Newburgh Police and EMS were on scene. State Route 300 was blocked off by police during the incident. Orange County Deputy Fire Coordinator 36-13 was on scene. County Fire Inspectors 36-102 and 36-103 responded. The fire is under investigation.
