Severe Storm Warning Issued for Bartow Region

On November 25, 2025, at 7:03 a.m., the National Weather Service in Peachtree City issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning affecting several northwest Georgia counties, including southwestern Bartow County. The warning, in effect until 7:45 a.m., was prompted by a fast-moving line of severe thunderstorms tracking east at 55 mph from Yellow Creek Falls to Liberty Hill and Delta. Radar indicated wind gusts reaching 60 mph, with potential impacts including damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Areas identified in the storm’s path included Rome, Carrollton, Dallas, Cedartown, Bremen, Villa Rica, Rockmart, Tallapoosa, Aragon, Cave Spring, and Taylorsville, among others. Residents were urged to seek shelter in an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. After the storm passed, anyone observing hail, wind damage, or flooding was encouraged to report it to the National Weather Service by phone or via social media.
