November 24, 2025 — Baldwin County Fire Rescue crews responded this afternoon to a fast-moving grass fire that began as a controlled burn and quickly grew due to dry conditions and shifting winds. Engine 8, Engine 6, Tanker 4, and Brush Truck 1 worked together to halt the fire’s spread, preventing further extension into nearby areas. Their quick action and coordinated response brought the situation under control without additional damage. Residents are reminded to use extreme caution when burning outdoors—ensure a reliable water source is on hand and remain mindful of current dry weather and unpredictable wind patterns.
