November 8, 2025 — Citrus County Fire Rescue proudly participated in today’s annual Hero Appreciation Event hosted by Nick Nicholas Ford in Inverness, celebrating the service and sacrifice of veterans, active-duty military members, and first responders.

Ladder 23 was on-site, raising the American flag high over the festivities as community members gathered to show their gratitude. The event featured live music, great food, giveaways, and heartfelt recognition for those who serve.

Held at 2901 Highway 44 West, the gathering brought together residents and agencies from across Citrus County in a shared spirit of appreciation.

CCFR extends its thanks to Nick Nicholas Ford for organizing this meaningful event and for honoring the heroes who protect and strengthen our community.
