November 20, 2025 — Citrus County Fire Rescue welcomed Mr. Merryman of VFW Post 10087 Beverly Hills, FL, to Headquarters earlier this week for a special recognition ceremony honoring several personnel who were unable to attend the original October 28 event at the VFW.

Among those celebrated were:

• Firefighter/EMT Kamrin Papale, awarded Firefighter/EMT of the Year
• Paramedic Loren VanDruff, recipient of a Life Saving Award
• EMT Marcus Carn, presented with a Certificate of Commendation for his critical role in a December 2024 cardiac arrest response that resulted in a full patient recovery

These honors highlight the dedication, professionalism, and life-saving expertise each member brings to the community they serve.
