While most 12 year old kids that are going to be celebrating their 13th birthday usually have a party with friends and family and get presents that they can use for themselves, but one soon to be teenager is thinking of the needy families for the holidays.

Abby Maloney is turning 13 on December 4, 2021 and is looking to help families with children with in the Capital Region with toys for the holiday season. Abby’s sister and father are firefighters at the Speigletown Fire Department and are also dedicated to serving their community by giving back every day to help those in need. Abby having the same ambition came up with a plan to fill 13 boxes full of new, unwrapped toys for her 13th birthday for toys for tots. Abby is looking for help from the community to celebrate her birthday with her by bringing new, unwrapped toys to her drive-through event at the fire house.

During the event you will be able to drive around the fire house behind the engine bay and drop off a new, unwrapped toy and it will be placed in a Toys For Tots Box. We also have been told that Santa Claus may make an appearance at the fire house during the event to say hi to families coming to drop off toys. The Speigletown Fire Department is located at 146 Speigletown Road, Troy New York and the Drive Thru Birthday Toys For Tots Event is from 12PM to 3PM on December 4th 2021 everyone is invited to come and help Abby spread holiday and birthday cheer to local families in need.
