Mutual Aid Supports Daytime House Fire Response

Ballston Lake, NY — November 5 —At 8:26 a.m., the Ballston Lake Fire Department responded to a house fire on Midline Road. Crews responded quickly and cooperatively, bringing the fire under control in short order. Daytime calls can be tough for staff because so many volunteers are working, and the department expressed gratitude to its mutual aid partners for their strong support and collaboration.
The Burnt Hills Fire Department, Jonesville Volunteer Fire Department, Round Lake Fire Department, and the Saratoga County Office of Emergency Management Cause and Origin Team all assisted on the incident. The Ballston Lake Emergency Squad, Rexford Fire Department, Charlton Volunteer Fire Department, and the Ballston Lake Fire Department Auxiliary all offered backup coverage.
At 8:26 a.m., the Ballston Lake Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire on Midline Road. Crews made a quick and coordinated response, bringing the fire under control in a short time. Daytime calls can be difficult to staff, as many volunteers are working, and the department thanked its mutual aid partners for their strong support and teamwork.
Assisting on scene were Burnt Hills Fire Department, Jonesville Volunteer Fire Department, Round Lake Fire Department, and Saratoga County Office of Emergency Management Cause and Origin Team. Ballston Lake Emergency Squad, Rexford Fire Department, Charlton Volunteer Fire Department, and the Ballston Lake Fire Department Auxiliary provided standby coverage.
Additional support was provided by National Grid, Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, Saratoga County Communications Center, Town of Ballston Water and Building Departments, American Red Cross Eastern New York/After the Fire, and Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home.
A community fundraiser has been established to assist the family affected by the fire. All units returned to service at 11:57 a.m. The department expressed appreciation to all volunteers who responded to help a neighbor in need.
