NORTH WALPOLE, NH — November 6 — According to North Walpole Fire & Rescue, while Keene crews continue to work on a fourth-alarm building fire, Engine 1 is currently covering Keene's central station. Mutual-aid coverage helps guarantee that the City of Keene continues to receive prompt response for any further calls while multiple units are working at the scene. Engine 1 is ready to respond to medical emergencies, structural fires, and other situations while offering short-term assistance. When resources are limited during major events, this kind of coordination is typical, enabling departments to support nearby communities while maintaining service levels at home. Personnel from North Walpole will remain there until Keene headquarters releases them, at which point they will return once full staffing and equipment availability are restored.
