Aurelius, NY — November 25 — Aurelius Volunteer Fire Department members conducted a night training drill to review drafting and large-flow water operations. Engine 2 drafted from a nearby water source and supplied Quint 1, which operated its master stream from the aerial. The exercise focused on maintaining a steady water supply and clear communication between pump operators and the aerial crew.
The department noted that regular practice helps ensure readiness for incidents requiring high-volume water flow, such as commercial or rural structure fires. Members trained under low-light conditions to simulate real on-scene challenges and support safe and efficient operations.
