Glover, VT — November 21 —At 8:34 p.m., the Glover Fire Department was called to a home on Glover Street in Glover Village for a report of smoke. The incident was said to be caused by a malfunctioning pellet stove. When the firefighters came, the householder had already put out the fire inside the stove.
Crews inspected the appliance and removed an impediment in the pellet stove exhaust. Ventilation was used to expel smoke from the home, and firemen established that there was no fire extension. Engines 1 and 3, as well as Rescue 1, responded with six firefighters each. After approximately one hour, all units were back in service.
