Elmore Fire Trains on Off-Road Rescue Skills in Wolcott

On Nov. 8th, Elmore Fire Department members took part in an off-road rescue training session given by the Wolcott Fire Department on nearby biking trails. The training enabled firemen to practice patient transport and communication in regions where normal equipment cannot reach. Elmore Fire brought an ATV to help with the training, while Hardwick Fire Department supplied a side-by-side. Crews went through various equipment configurations and learned how to properly cross challenging terrain during a medical response.
