Wolfeboro, NH — October 28 — An EMS refresher on splinting techniques for trauma patients was conducted by the Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue Department. The best methods for stabilizing suspected fractures, such as correct alignment, cushioning, and limb fastening, were assessed by the members. Additionally, the training emphasized the significance of monitoring sensation and circulation both prior to and following the application of splints. During mobility and transfer, instructors stressed the importance of preserving patient comfort while avoiding additional injuries. Periodic revision is crucial to maintaining response readiness because splinting is still a prevalent skill used on medical and accident calls. Regular EMS training, according to the department, guarantees that responders remain knowledgeable about the equipment used in the field and promotes uniform care across crews. To support operational readiness, Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue organized ongoing training sessions.
