Wolfeboro, NH — November 10 — Members of Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue took part in EMS training with an emphasis on patient movement equipment. The Combi-Carrier and Stryker stair chair, which are frequently required for calls in confined spaces, stairwells, or uneven terrain, were practiced by the crews. In order to keep patients stable and responders safe when transferring them to an ambulance, the workshop emphasized safe lifting, securing, and teamwork practices. In order to stop additional injuries during mobility, instructors stressed communication and careful handling. EMS response still frequently involves patient transfer, and consistent performance in the field is supported by frequent refresher training. According to Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue, rehearsing with equipment keeps everyone in the community confident and prepared for medical emergencies.
