November 21, 2025 — Brevard County Fire Rescue celebrated a major milestone today as Recruit Class 25-04 officially graduated and was sworn in by Chief Voltaire.
Over the past ten weeks, the 21 recruits completed intensive training focused on both medical and firefighting skills, preparing them for the demands of a career in the fire service. During the ceremony, each new firefighter received their badge along with a newly introduced black probationary helmet, marking the start of a department tradition. Updated helmet shields will be awarded after the successful completion of their first year of service.
Nearly half of the graduates are scheduled to begin their first shifts tomorrow, stepping into their roles as full-time firefighters.
