North Conway, NH — November 24 —The North Conway Firefighters Association completed its Monday training with two hours of vehicle extrication practice. Before performing tool operations, members put on safety gear and used various cribbing methods to stabilize two vehicles. Crews utilized power and hand tools to chop windshields, remove doors, roofs, trunks, and hoods, and ram dashboards and steering wheels from a mock patient.

Rescue 1 contains Holmatro hydraulic rescue equipment, such as cutters, spreaders, and rams, and firemen are trained to pick effective tool sites for various vehicle types. The association thanked Bryant’s Towing in Center Conway for donating the vehicles and providing training space.
