Effingham, NH — November 17 —Effingham Fire/Rescue extended its Firefighter II "On My Time" training with a class on fire cause and determination. Chief Harmon, a trained fire investigator, led the course on burn patterns, evidence preservation, and chain of custody. Following a classroom discussion, students saw small controlled burns within drywall cubes to compare fire behavior and ensuing patterns at various sites of origin. Assistant Chief Baumann of Tamworth Fire helped secure the drywall materials utilized in the practice.
