November 22, 2025 — Alachua County Fire Rescue reported that Rescue 23 spent the day supporting participants at the Girls on the Run 5K, celebrating the young athletes who completed the event.

According to the department, crew members cheered on runners throughout the morning and helped present medals at the finish line, recognizing the hard work and determination shown by each participant. The department noted that the event was filled with enthusiasm, encouragement, and community spirit.
