The Shelton Fire Department finished its final day of pump operator training on Nov. 2, which was conducted by the Valley Fire School and directed by Captain Jim Geis. Participants in the course spent the session reviewing pump operations, water flow, and actual engine company functions under the supervision of one of the region's most knowledgeable instructors.

Captain Geis, together with Assistant Chief Bob Finta, created a positive hands-on learning atmosphere for the department's rookie operators. The SFD thanked the Valley Fire School and its instructors for supporting the continuous development of the department's pump operators and preparing members for real-world engine company responsibilities.
