Shohola, PA — November 11 — The Shohola Fire & Rescue Department, 325 RT 434, joined the nation in commemorating Veterans Day and paying tribute to those who have served in the US military. Veterans still contribute leadership, discipline, and teamwork to fire, emergency medical services, and public safety operations. Gregory Protsko, Steve, and Ben Davis were recognized by the department for their military service as well as their continued commitment to the community through volunteer response. The day is being used by numerous departments throughout Pennsylvania to emphasize the relationship between military service and first-response jobs, where a shared commitment to safeguarding others is still present. Shohola Fire & Rescue thanked all veterans for their ongoing support.
