Allentown, PA - On the sub freezing morning of January 31 2026, fire destroyed a three story twin home at 607 S. 6th St. On arrival, the FD had heavy fire showing from the second and third floors which quickly escalated to a third alarm. The adjoining vacant twin also became well involved. Both homes received a lot of damage and had to be demolished, causing the displacement of the one resident. As firefighters were battling the fire, two members were injured: one with a burn, the other with a twisted ankle.
