Ferrisburgh, Vt. — Nov. 5 —Ferrisburgh Vol. Fire Dept. was dispatched around 10:30 a.m. to provide mutual aid to a neighboring community to the north on a confirmed structure fire. Arriving crews encountered heavy fire conditions throughout the property. Ferrisburgh’s tanker crew and newly placed Engine 2 established and maintained a reliable water supply to support suppression operations while additional personnel assisted directly in the fire attack. A large number of round hay bales stored for winter use contributed to the intensity and length of the incident.

Ferrisburgh firefighters worked alongside Charlotte Fire Department and multiple mutual-aid partners to bring the fire under control and prevent further spread to nearby structures.
