Ferrisburgh, Vt. — Nov. 5 —Ferrisburgh Vol. Fire Dept. was dispatched around 10:30 a.m. to provide mutual aid to a neighboring community to the north on a confirmed structure fire. Arriving crews encountered heavy fire conditions throughout the property. Ferrisburgh’s tanker crew and newly placed Engine 2 established and maintained a reliable water supply to support suppression operations while additional personnel assisted directly in the fire attack. A large number of round hay bales stored for winter use contributed to the intensity and length of the incident.
Ferrisburgh firefighters worked alongside Charlotte Fire Department and multiple mutual-aid partners to bring the fire under control and prevent further spread to nearby structures. The response underscored the strength of interagency cooperation during rural emergencies and reinforced Ferrisburgh’s ongoing commitment to supporting neighboring communities whenever a call for assistance is made.
